Hydrock helps Manchester Waters to approval

Multidisciplinary engineering consultancy Hydrock has helped investment group Peel and partner X1 Developments secure planning permission for phase two of their Manchester Waters scheme. Hydrock provided acoustic support for the project which will see three blocks of accommodation built near Salford Quays.

Hydrock’s acoustics team delivered noise and vibration assessments to support the project’s planning submission. The firm’s work focused on understanding and mitigating the noise impact from a nearby railway line. The team continues to be engaged in the acoustic design of the development’s residential units.

This is not the first time Hydrock has supported X1, having provided a range of environmental services for a £210m project on Leeds’ South Bank last year
